Kendall’s healing journey began in 2019, during a time of personal challenges brought on by health problems, the pandemic and her divorce. At the lowest point in her life, she made a deep commitment to heal from her past and create a version of herself that could once again find calmness and joy in life. Through John Glanvill's online course focused on healing from OCD, anxiety, and depression, Kendall discovered tools that helped her make profound changes.
She began exploring different healing practices, deepened her meditation, and was eventually led to Reiki. The first time she experienced Reiki, she knew instantly that it was the missing piece in her life she had been searching for. It was a life-changing moment that brought her passion and fulfillment. She knew it was her calling in this life to share Reiki with others.
Now a certified Usui & Karuna Reiki Master, sound healer, and meditation teacher, Kendall is passionate about helping others on their own healing journeys. She is also in the process of becoming a certified reflexology practitioner, continuing her dedication to supporting others in finding peace, balance, and wellness.
In 2024, my husband and I went to Japan on our honeymoon, and I had the absolute honor of going to Mt. Kurama, the birthplace of Reiki, located near Kyoto.
The trek to the top of the mountain and back down, took around 5 hours roundtrip. The temples were gorgeous! The energy was amazing too, I found myself getting a burst of energy near the top and actually sprinted up the mountain until I found the spot that Master Usui sat and meditated at. I took time to sit there and meditate and I felt a deep connection to the Reiki energy. It was a magical experience.
On the way down, my legs have never felt so wobbly before! We were tired, but it was an awesome experience. When we got to the bottom, we found a place to go and have lunch and they even had a little store called Kurama Reiki. Amusingly, the lady who worked there didn't really know what Reiki was but said she knew that there was a master who developed it there.
I highly recommend a trip to the temples at Mt. Kurama if you get the chance.
